After dealing with the effects of the bomb in Italy, they are shunted into the American Civil War. There they meet a hero who they have only heard a little about and an old friend, Dixie's Pride. Once they have settled those matters they face the Emancipator himself who seems desperate to prevent the tormented future that he comes from. While the heroes move to stop the destruction of the timeline, is there something else going on behind the scenes?
Volt awakens to the horror that has been unleashed on the world. Apparently the Emancipator has activated a bomb that destroyed the timeline, leaving the world as a simple piece of rock floating in time/space. Downtime managed to save the Angels and a few of their allies and told them that they will be dealing with the bombs in the past, while he deals with those in the future. Volt is still recovering from the shock when they are shoved into Renaissance Italy to deal with the explosive there.
(My apologies, the first episode managed to get eaten by the time bomb itself and disappeared. In the missing episode the Angels, minus Volt who was missing that session, was shoved back into prehistoric times to fight Emancipators riding dinosaurs. Just missed a bit of the shock factor for the arc.)
The Angels personal villains team up on them, hoping to drag them into some sort of death trap. In addition, there seems to be a twist in Czar's logic that might cause problems in the future.
Multiplicity gets a visit from a long lost friend, and it causes a siege on General Dawn's base. Is Multiplicity's friend in deeper than they know, or have they turned villain?
Now that the world is steeped in war, how are the Angels going to react to the chaos that they have had a small part in causing?
With the world in a new set of dangers the Angels have to scramble fast in order to figure out how to deal with this onslaught of new problem. Will Dawn be a new found ally, or become a complication?
With the collapse of the Compact, the world finds itself on the brink of war. Will the Angels prevent it or becoming the tipping point?
It is left to the Angels to pick up the pieces after the LA Blitz, and there is certainly one person on their minds: Dr. Kong. Where did the good doctor go? Is he even alive?
Despite the best of intentions, sometimes the plan goes out the window. The heroes discover that they will need to take a slight detour as their plans get derailed.
Things are far from calm as the city recoils from the explosion of violence. It appears the the secret gang wars are no longer whispers in the shadows, but the roar of a machine gun.
